Monthly Clinical Meeting
The Monthly Clinical Meeting is one of OGSSI's oldest traditions, providing a scientific forum for members to discuss interesting and complex clinical cases from their practice.
Schedule
Held on the last Tuesday of every month
Format of the Meeting
The meeting typically includes:
Felicitating a Senior OGSSIan
Two Clinical case discussions
An Update on a current issue
A Vibrant Panel Discussion
(This format is subject to modification as per Executive Committee decisions.)
Who Can Present
OGSSI members from Medical Colleges, DNB Institutes, and Private Practices are encouraged to contribute by presenting interesting case scenarios from their practice. This provides an opportunity to discuss complex cases in a scientific forum. Cases may be presented by Consultants or Postgraduates.
Rules for Applying
This page has an application form (Case Abstract Submission Form).
Abstracts of the case, along with an appropriate title, must be submitted on or before 1 PM on the first Tuesday of every month (i.e., before the monthly EC meeting)
Submissions must be made by filling out the Case Abstract Submission Form
Abstracts will be scrutinized during the Executive Committee Meeting held on the First Tuesday of every month
The date of presentation for approved abstracts will be decided during this meeting, and the presenter will be informed by mail
Selected cases are judged by a panel of experts
OGSSI members who wish to participate in the Panel Discussion or give an Update on a current issue may also send their request by mail to ogssi@yahoo.com; this will be honoured if approved during the subsequent EC meeting
